Build, Fly, Crash, Repeat
At the beginning of 2016, I had the chance to work with DJI for my senior capstone project. I jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with the industry leader of consumer drones. At the end of the semester, Project APPA was a success and I learned a lot about drones and electronics in general. The hands-on electrical exposure during the project is what sparked my interests in quadcopters.
During the summer of 2016, I built my first FPV racing mini quad with the help of my friends at UAVs at Berkeley. The ability to see through the eyes of the quad gives the amazing experience of flight. I'm currently building more quads and practicing flying/racing. The quadcopter industry is still new and I'm very excited to see where it goes and the new technologies that come with it.
